THE TEAM

Horace Mann's Model United Nations club represents an opportunity for students to participate in debate regarding foreign affairs. It allows students to also join an intellectually driven and welcoming community within our school. Since its inception in 1967, the family has grown to become a close-knit and skilled group of delegates. We annually host a single-day conference called HoMMUNC, which has a yearly attendance of over 1000 delegates from more than forty schools. The conference takes place on our campus and allows delegates to learn and become more familiar with Model UN. We travel to four-day conferences along the east coast, making an effort to maintain an established reputation as a strong delegation. We teach and value our leadership, love, and passion for international relations.

The Horace Mann MUN family is maintained by both the guidance of the club's leadership and the dedication of its members. The club itself is entirely student-run, and we take a direct interest in the well-being of all of the team's members. We feel strongly about being skilled delegates who bring good ideas, humility, and respectability to each committee at every conference. We ultimately love Model UN because it fosters collaboration, innovation, and togetherness, and encourages delegates to think about how they can effect real-world change.
